Softwareengineer,ex-videoeditor.

I'm Tyler. I build across the stack, lately queue workers, AI agents, and the React apps on top of them. At Quikity I replaced a cron poller with a BullMQ queue and took email latency from 15 seconds to 400ms.

01 / About

A little about me.

Engineer by day. Chess, audiobooks, and whatever I'm studying the rest of the time.

I got started co-writing game software that passed 375,000 downloads.

That turned into five years of professional work, mostly TypeScript and Python. I've built queue workers, a WebSocket terminal, LLM agents, and a React extension translated into 19 languages. I also spent five years editing video, which is why I still care how things look and feel.

Off the clock I listen to audiobooks, play chess, study on my own, and spend time with family.

  • Own the production serving path for a wildfire-risk model that scores a 408k-cell grid on ECS Fargate and Terraform. Replaced its SageMaker endpoint with a staged, SLO-gated cutover.
  • Built circuit breakers, deadline-propagating caches, and a Planetary Computer fallback across seven satellite and weather providers. Scoring kept running through a multi-day NASA outage.
  • Implemented Python linting with Ruff + pre-commit hooks across 3 services.
  • Reduced frontend bundle size 66% with lazy-loaded React routes.

  • Built WebSocket terminal streaming for Claude Code CLI with session persistence, race-safe backup/restore, and xterm.js rendering in Vue. Several devs had tried it before and not shipped.
  • Built FirebaseSyncer with hash-based deduplication for bidirectional file sync between Docker containers and Firebase RTDB.
  • Wrote the MiloFast AI agent (2,000+ LOC): a ReAct loop with 180K-token context management, calling Claude and GPT through OpenRouter.
  • Containerized Claude Code CLI in Docker with OAuth injection and automated setup, so multiple tenants could run it across dev and prod VMs on GCP.
  • Extended frontend command orchestration (navigation, record operations, lookup-safe mutations) so the AI could fill forms and run workflows without breaking data.
  • Designed an intent-aware prompt pipeline that injects only the relevant recipes and examples, budgets tokens, and keeps a trajectory memory. Action accuracy went up while prompts stayed small.

  • Moved email delivery from a 30s cron poller to a BullMQ/Redis queue. 10K+ daily briefings, latency down from 15s to 400ms.
  • Shipped five workers (TS, Node 22) with backoff retries, circuit breakers, and dead-letter queues. Failure rate went from 4% to 0.3%.
  • Led the move to Turborepo and pnpm workspaces: CI time down 62%, image size down 30%.
  • Fixed dropped calendar webhooks in production with Redis TTL deduplication. Deliveries back to 100%.

  • Built a LangChain intent classifier that handles 1,000+ concurrent requests in under 100ms and raised chatbot accuracy 40%.
  • Reverse-engineered the APIs of 4+ meeting platforms from HAR captures and automated joins with Puppeteer, collecting 100+ hours of audio a month.
  • Built a production monorepo (TS, Turbo, pnpm) on Terraform-managed AWS Lambda and Docker for 10,000+ users.
  • Built semantic search on pgvector with 1,024-dim embeddings. Sub-second queries across millions of documents.
